I've owned and driven Ford cars with a manual transmission since 1976. Instead they're selling nothing but trucks and jacked-up station wagons as SUV wannabes. I bought this car as a leftover in the spring of 2018 because I knew that Ford was not going to bring the next generation Focus to America. Once it's up to temperature there are no problems at all. Now at 33,000 miles the driveability of the car really suffers before it fully warms up. They took the car back and diagnosed it for a few days and determined that 'all STs are like that'. After the work was completed the same lean miss came back in less than 500 miles. It was determined the solution was a new and improved cylinder head because they had no way of decarbonizing the head while it was on the car. The dealership was great and had the car for a week diagnosing the problem. At 17,000 miles it developed a lean miss while it wasn't quite up to temperature. After 5-6 complaints during the required maintenance visits they made an upgrade to some of the parts and reset the computer. there was a class action lawsuit for the 2012-2016 models, the dealership said it's the same parts and build.
